Visual Arts I
Grade 10, 11, 12, One semester
Prerequisite: None

This course is a basic introduction to the visual arts and the creative process. Students will be introduced to the basic elements of art and the principles of design that are the foundation of all visual art. Students will have experiences producing both two-dimensional and three-dimensional pieces of art. Topics to be covered may include: elements of art and principles of design, color theory, art criticism, art history, and safety in the art room.

Visual Arts II
Grade 10, 11, 12, One semester
Prerequisite: None

Topics to be covered will expand on those introduced in Visual Arts I and may include: the study of the elements of art and principles of design, color theory, vocabulary, art criticism, art history, & safety in the art room.

Visual Arts III
Grade 11, 12, One semester
Prerequisite: None

Topics to be covered will expand on those introduced in Visual Arts I and Visual Arts II, and may include: elements of art and principles of design, color theory, vocabulary, art criticism, art history, & safety in the art room.

Photography
Grade 10, 11, 12, One semester
Prerequisite: None

An introduction to 35 mm photography and basic black and white darkroom procedures. Each student will be required to furnish a 35 mm automatic camera, black and white film, and several boxes of print paper to be used in the darkroom. It is estimated that the total expenses, excluding camera, will be between $150 and $200.

Drama
Grade 10, 11, 12, One semester or Full Year
Prerequisite: None

In this class you will learn the basics of all aspects of theatre: acting, directing and producing, and technical theatre. Students will practice the skills required to produce plays. Students are required to attend rehearsals, which may include work beyond class time, in addition to all performances.

Choral Ensemble

Prerequisite: None

Auditions may be held for this class. The choral ensemble is a performing group. Students are to attend all required rehearsals and performances.
